RAF Tucano in flying display

The Royal Air Force Tucano Display Team 2013 will honour the Maltese islands with its flying display in this year's edition of the Malta International Airshow.
This year the team comes from 72(R) Squadron and infact the the Display Aircraft has been painted to commemorate 70 years since 72 Squadron were on active service in North Africa and the Mediterranean. During 1943 the squadron operated various marks of Spitfire primarily the Mk Vb and c. To promote the Royal Air Force RA – F is emblazoned on the side. As this aircraft is painted in a camouflage scheme it can only be used for display flying and cannot be used for training missions. The display pilot is Flight Lieutenant Andrew Fyvie-Rae “Fyvie”, 28 while the display manager is Flt Lt Dave Kirby.
The Malta Aviation Society is looking forward to have the RAF Tucano Display Team 2013 gracing the Luqa skies.
