The Qatari Hercules is back!!! The airX Malta International Airshow will again this year host the Qatar Emiri Air Force C-130J Hercules that will participate in the static display, this will continue strengthening the relationship between the Qatar Emiri AF and the Malta Aviation Society.

After last year's successful first ever participation, the Qatar Emiri AF with their Hercules that left thousands of delighted people with the friendly Qatari crew and the opportunity for the public to visit the aircraft.

The C-130J is the newest version of the famous C-130 Family and the C-130 J is nicknamed the Super Hercules.
The Hercules is a four-engined turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built by Lockheed Martin. Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medical evacuation, and cargo transport aircraft and different versions of this very successful aircraft now perform various roles. The Hercules, in its various versions has been in production since the 1950’s and has the record of the longest continuous production run of any military aircraft in history.

The Malta Aviation Society is grateful for the Qatar Emiri Air Force participation in this year's edition of the airX Malta International Airshow and the assistance provided by the Defense Directorate at the Ministry for Home Affairs and National Security.

Learjet 60 for flying display

The Learjet 60 from Eurojet will once again be part of the flying display of this year's airX Malta International Airshow. Veteran Maltese pilot Lino Xuereb will once again show his capabilities with the aircraft. As it has been customary for most of the past editions, he will show the learjet 60 to the public present at the airX Malta International Airshow.

German Navy Cancellation

The German Navy has informed us that the Dornier Do-228 from the German Navy has cancelled its participation for the static display in this year's edition of the airX Malta International Airshow. The German Navy P-3C Orion will still be participating in the static display.
